Term 3, 2011
Today is the first day back for the term. We're excited because we get to play with our school friends again.
During the holidays we got better, went to the movies, shopped and visited places like the zoo. While we were away, there was a lot of construction around our school - they have put down new concrete, drains, and are building a new ramp by Room 14 and 15.
This term our tables are moved around, we are sitting in different places. We have also changed our timetable for the day. We are writing first, doing maths after break 1 and reading at the end of the day.

My first week back at school
In my first week back at school I was a little bit shy. When I found out that I was in Room Eleven I burst out with excitement. My teacher is Mrs Paterson.
In the first week, we spent our time sorting out our books in our desk. It was a pretty good week, and it was cool to find out where we were sitting. We made little tag cards to show us where we sit. Our class has Year 2's and Year 3's. Our classroom is colourful. By Amritha

Fundamental Skills with Natalie.
This term, in fundamental skills with Natalie, our skills to learn were balancing and jumping for distance. My favorite game in trying to balance was "Medusa" the woman who had snake hair.
How to play: one person had to be Medusa and they turn around, when they turn around you have to balance/freeze and if you moved you had to start again. The first person to touch Medusa was next. Natalie is leaving at the end of this term, term 2. We go to the hall with our Wednesday teacher, Mrs Mcleod. We always have fun and do a little giggle.

The cool science fair
At the start of term two we had a cool science fair. Room 11 did an experiment with gravity. We tried to balance a potatoe, fork, and pencil so that only the pencil tip touched the table. Room 11 is still trying it, even though it is very hard. Year 5 were doing friction and year 6 were doing action/reaction. by Scarlett Boyle.
Performing Arts
On Thursdays we go to Mrs Corke to do singing, drama, music and dance. We always do
'Believe it or Not' but we still have to choose other songs. Mrs Corke always has a beautiful voice when she sings songs with us if we need help. We have lot's of fun with Mrs Corke because we
play lots of games like musical statues and loud and soft. Mrs Corke has to stop the music and play the music when we play musical statues. She controls our loudness and our softness so with our instruments we make them the way she wants us to make.

This year we are going to run a blog.
You are going to take turns uploading events for the day onto it, so that Mum and Dad can read along in the evening to see what we are up to.
